Let me explain. 

For most of my adult life, people told me I had a great speaking voice.

That was always nice to hear, but I lived in rural Canada and assumed voice acting was something people did in New York, LA, Toronto or London.

Not from home, and certainly not from mine.

Then the industry changed, dramatically.

High-speed internet and remote recording opened doors that simply didn’t exist before. Suddenly, where you live mattered a whole lot less than what you are capable of.

In just a few short years, I went from knowing virtually nothing about the voiceover industry to becoming a multi-award-winning and award-nominated voice actor, working with major brands and alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.

And here’s the part that still amazes me...

I did it all from home.

I didn’t move to a major city.

I didn’t spend a fortune or equipment or home renovations.

And I didn’t uproot my family to chase a dream.

I learned how to run a successful voice acting business, how to create a broadcast quality recording space on any budget, what actually mattered, what didn’t and how to build solid industry connections.
